Pengutronix Talks at ELC-E in Prague
The autumn conference highlight is the Embedded Linux Conference Europe (ELC-E), which takes place in Prague this year. The Pengutronix team will be present with four talks and two demo points / showcases, presenting current open source projects (RAUC, labgrid, etnaviv).
Two talks will take place on monday, 2017-10-23:
- OP-TEE: Using Trust Zone to Protect Your Own Secrets: At 09:00, Marc Kleine-Budde talks about OP-TEE: since Linux 4.12, the infrastructure to use the Trusted Execution Environment on modern ARM cpus was merged into the mainline kernel. Marc shows how it can be used to store secret information in a (probably) secure way.
- Automation Beyond Testing and Embedded Systems Validation: At 17:10, Jan Lübbe talks about the recent progress with automation in continuous testing setups and about the labgrid framework.
Another two takls will take place on wednesday, 2017-10-25:
- Stable Device Tree ABI: It's Possible: At 14:15, Lucas Stach talks about strategies for ABI stability of the open firmware device tree.
- Zerocopy Video Streaming the Easy Way: Finally, at 16:15, Philipp Zabel and Michael Tretter talk about how to use zerocopy mechanisms to avoid bandwidth waste when streaming media on modern ARM cpus.
In addition, several open source projects relevant for us will be shown as part of the Technical Showcase on tuesday, 2017-10-24:
- Etnaviv, the open source drivers for the i.MX6 3D graphics hardware
- RAUC: Robust Auto Upgrade Controller
- labgrid: test automation for continuous testing of embedded linux systems
